How to become a bail bond agent

First and fore most, you have to be over the age of 18 years old,  and have no previous criminal record (unless you get a consent from the Insurance Commissioner, there are some exceptions).         In addition, take a “Bail agent pre-licensing,” class from an accredited center. This class is a 20 hour workshop, and it takes three days to complete, its very informative. In it, you will learn all the basic information regarding bail bonds; from its history to the laws to the terms you will have to know to be the best agent for your clients. Finally, the “test!” this test will consist of 75 multiple questions regarding everything you learned in class. After the test and if you pass you will need to get your fingerprints taken.  Sounds easy right? Well for the most part it is, but it is pricey…the class it-self cost over $500.00 and you will still need to pay for pass-port pictures and fingerprints are required as well.

I have no affiliation nor get any compensation for this, but I took the class with Cody Friedman, over at Bail Resource Center & Career Academy. He is a great Master Instructor and teaches you in a way that is very unique and makes it fun, you’ll see what I mean if you take his class, never a dull moment.

“The secret to happiness is freedom!”

When someone gets arrested the first thing they do is contact their loved one’s as soon as they get the chance to. We are then contacted by the family member, spouse or friend who needs to get their loved one out of jail.  Furthermore, we look at their case, see the bail set by the judge and offer the best financial plan that fits their budget. With a small deposit and a couple forms filled later, we bring your loved one home. The process is minuscule as opposed to your loved one waiting and sitting in jail for trial, for who knows how long.

Freedom, is not cheap, but as the Greek, historian Thucydides has said, “the secret to happiness is freedom.”  Golden Eagle Bail Bonds, can offer you freedom through the process mentioned above, so if we can offer you the freedom from jail for happiness, then we would have to agree with the great historian.

What to do when you have a warrant?

Did you forget to go to court?  Did the court send you a letter saying you have a warrant?  Did the DA decide to file a case and now you have a warrant?  Well you’re not alone, it happens.  So what do you do now?  Well it depends what the warrant is for, if it’s for something minor like a traffic ticket you forgot to pay, just go to court and see a judge.  If you got a warrant for something a little more serious, you should call a bail bonds.  At Golden Eagle Bail Bonds our professional agents can help you take care of your warrant.  If you have an arrest warrant, then any contact with the police will land you in jail.  Call Golden Eagle Bail Bonds now at 877-525-1711, we can help you avoid being arrested for a warrant.

What is the Booking Process?

When a person is arrested, they are taken to either a city jail or a county jail.  At the city jail the booking process is a lot faster than at a county jail.  The jailer will book a defendant by finger printing them, taking a mugshot, running them for warrants and they will also be questioned by the officer who arrested them.  At a city jail the booking process may take anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple hours.  At a county jail the booking process can take anywhere from 4 hours to 8 hours.  Once a person is booked and they can be bailed out if they are able to be bailed out.

If a person has a hold, then they must stay in jail until they see a judge and the hold is removed.  If your loved one has been arrested, call Golden Eagle Bail Bonds at 877-525-1711.  Our agents are always available to take your call.  We serve all jails in the Southern California Area.   At Golden Eagle Bail Bonds we understand the urgency of getting your loved one out.  Give us a call, let us help you bring your loved one home.

What happens at an Arraignment?

When a person appears in court, their first court appearance is an Arraignment.  At an Arraignment the judge will read the defendant the charges he/she is being charged with.  The judge will ask the defendant if he or she is guilty or not guilty of the charges against them.  If a person pleas guilty then they will be sentenced for the crime.  If the person enters a plea of not guilty, then the judge will set a new court date for the defendant to come back to fight the case against them.  If a person is in custody at the time of the arraignment and wants to fight the case, then he or she will be sent back to jail until the next court date or if they have bail they may be bailed out of jail but must appear back in court on the date promised.

It is always best to fight a case from out of custody.  Some cases can take months or even years to fight.  If your loved one in jail call Golden Eagle Bail Bonds at 877-525-1711.  Our agents are always available to help you get your loved one out.
