THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORANGE COUNTY JAIL AND LOCAL CITY (POLICE DEPARTMENT) JAILS
LOCAL CITY JAILS:
In Orange County there are many local police stations that would hold a person that was arrested by them in order for the inmate to be released on bail. The main issue here is in most cases they only hold them for a short period of time; anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours or days. Also if the jail is overcrowded or the inmate has medical issues then the inmate will be transferred to the Orange County Main Jail (Inmate Reception Center) in Santa Ana.
Release Time: at city jails is usually much faster. Typically between 30 minutes to 1hr after the bail has been posted.
For fast 24/7 release, contact us at 1 (877) 525-1711.

ORANGE COUNTY JAIL:
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has three housing locations. If an inmate is not bailed out at one of the Orange County Local Police Departments, they are normally transferred to the Orange County Jail Intake-Release Center (IRC). Once at the IRC, inmates start the booking process where they are assigned a booking number and housing location. This booking process usually takes 2-3 hours to be completed. As soon as the booking process is complete a licensed Orange County bail bond agent is able to post a bond for the inmate.
Below you will find information for the all three Orange County Sheriff’s jails.
