How to become a bail bond agent

First and fore most, you have to be over the age of 18 years old,  and have no previous criminal record (unless you get a consent from the Insurance Commissioner, there are some exceptions).         In addition, take a “Bail agent pre-licensing,” class from an accredited center. This class is a 20 hour workshop, and it takes three days to complete, its very informative. In it, you will learn all the basic information regarding bail bonds; from its history to the laws to the terms you will have to know to be the best agent for your clients. Finally, the “test!” this test will consist of 75 multiple questions regarding everything you learned in class. After the test and if you pass you will need to get your fingerprints taken.  Sounds easy right? Well for the most part it is, but it is pricey…the class it-self cost over $500.00 and you will still need to pay for pass-port pictures and fingerprints are required as well.

I have no affiliation nor get any compensation for this, but I took the class with Cody Friedman, over at Bail Resource Center & Career Academy. He is a great Master Instructor and teaches you in a way that is very unique and makes it fun, you’ll see what I mean if you take his class, never a dull moment.
